Business Immigration - Self-employed persons

 

This type of business immigration is designed for persons who are able, and have intention, to become self-employed in Canada. Self-employed is a person who starts a business and creates job for him/herself.
Persons who have experience of self-employment in cultural activities or athletics, or persons who have farm management experience are eligible to apply for permanent residence in Canada under this category. People who participate at a world-class level in cultural activities or athletics are also eligible to apply as a self-employed. Like other applicants in business immigration class, self-employed persons also need to obtain a minimum of 35 points in the business immigration selection point system and must meet medical and security requirements.
